Extremely friendly and helpful staff, both at check in and after that. Asked for room with view on high floor and staff didceverything to make my preference happen. Truly amazing personal approach, just excellent
Great for a short stay, small but well thought out room, had all facilities and amenities you could need, cool airport view room, friendly staff, nice company ethos, location perfect for an early flight from Schipol.
Great place to spend a night between flights. But not more than that. Rooms are tiny and constructed in a futuristic way. Everything is controlled with the iPod (supplied). Ideal for single travelers with hand luggage only.
You will struggle with the tiny space of there are two of you. Breakfast is acceptable for the price. The lobby is great if you want a glass of beer or a cup of coffee. No gym.
Walking distance from the airport, this is a great hotel for making a connecting flight through Amsterdam. The rooms are like cruise ship cabins - everything is built in and there is not much storage, but these are not rooms designed for long-term stays.
The breakfast was good with plenty of choices, and the shower in the room was excellent. Good wi-fi service.
I booked this hotel to bridge a night between flights in Schiphol mainly for it being in walking distance from the terminal. But I found it to be a real treat!
This chain seems to mind all the small details, the room was so well thought out, and had a nice appeal.
Control everything from a small tablet, a really good bed, all the things you expect a hotel to deliver on, but somehow done a bit smarter. I got into my room within five minutes, services you need and food are available all night, a great shower, a decent hairdrier. I slept in my share of chain hotels, but this one seems to be in the clutches of an optimizer I bow my head to!
The room wasn't big but it was so well laid out that I felt I had my space. View was of a container terminal but the excellent shades completely blocked that out. Noise was never a concern. I got what I wanted out of the experience - an excellent shower, being woken on time, not feeling cramped in, a comfortable bed. The place felt good, not clinical or sterile or completely impersonal. There were smart touches everywhere, and they pride themselves on them (yes, there is a brochure in the rooms saying so).
Finding the citizenM is neither very hard nor very easy. I navigated my way out of the terminal, a short ways by Google Maps, and then saw the hotel logo. When I was almost there there was also a sign pointing the way... a bit late, but hey. The whole walk there is covered against rain which in Amsterdam seems to make a lot of sense.
This basically set my standard for chain or airport hotels from now on. The price was absolutely okay and I felt I made a bargain.
Chose this hotel as my flight had been cancelled but will certainly chose it again for my next business trips. The hotel is very clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. The bedroom isn't big but has everything you need (except maybe cottons to de make up) and is very connected.
Some very nice movies available on the TV allowing to relax in the big bed before sleep.
The entrance is confusing, it looks like a red cube with a bar inside. The front desk of the hotel is when you enter and turn left. The "smart room" was interesting to play with, everything is operated with an ipad.
Bed was comfy.
This hotel is my favorite when I have to fly early, it is 4 minute walk from Schiphol and close to restaurants and shops, the rooms are big enough for a short stay. I did stay here more than 10 times and already booked next stay in 5 weeks.
Prices are sometimes expensive, that is the only reason for me to go to a hotel where you need to go with shuffle bus.
The bed is very good, and the shower is a treat for the body
